My husband and I volunteered on Old Rag two weekends in a row in October. It was predictably nutty, but it was also beautiful. Being out there twice in two weeks was nice because we got to see the progression of the leaves changing. The first weekend I was also testing out a new camera that I got primarily for cycling. The first week:The fire road the first weekend. Seed pods near the fire road Red blueberry bushes just below the summit. The second week:
The lowest high water bridge on the fire road. The summit of Old Rag through the trees. Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) blooms. A raven soaring over Weakley Hollow Looking northeast from the summit each of the two weeks:This is with the new camera. With my usual camera and a wide angle lens.
