Has anyone camped at Swallow Falls State Park in late October? I am thinking of spending my last week of vacation time out there next month. It would be close to Coopers Rock as well. I have a sleeping bag that is for 16 degrees, and a liner as well. I have all the rest of the camping stuff. How is the weather out there in late October?

You should be good to go with a 16 degree rated bag. That is a fairly high elevation area, maybe 2700 to 2900 feet (?). Normal night-time lows should be in the low 30's, but could dip into the mid to low 20's or be in the 50's. Remember that coopers Rock is a state forest and there is hunting allowed (should only be squirrel, turkey, deer with bow at that time), so be sure to wear blaze orange when hiking.

Also, no camping at Cooper's except at the campground.

Closer to Deep Creek. I drive through there a couple of times a month all year long. The weather shouldn't be too extreme, but you never know. There's a few web cams at Deep Creek. I use this one because you can take control of it, pan it and get a good look around. link

If you're at Swallow Falls there is a nice hiking trail from there to Herrington Manor State Park. I have done it a few times. I think it's about 5 miles one way.
