I took advantage of this nice stretch of weather to do another short overnight trip. From the FR 92 trail head, I followed the forest road for about a half mile, and then ascended on the Bread Trail (which is a fire road) to the top of Little Sluice Mt. South on the Little Sluice Mt. Trail, to a clearing with tall grass, a few big pine trees, and lots of burrs! I stayed at a nice camp site on the east side of the trail, complete with an Olympic size fire ring. Some views to the east, but pretty closed in. The next morning I continued south on the trail, which turns into a nice ridge walk as this point. Looking east to the Massanuttens. At about 0.25 miles from the campsite the trail becomes pretty overgrown with lots of thorns. Several side trails split off to the right, these lead to the base of Little Schloss. Not much of a view of Little Schloss until the rock scramble starts. Just a short climb to the top. Nice views in three directions, here's one looking toward Big Schloss. Exploring a little on the top, I came across a camp site with fire ring, then bushwhacked to the south end. The views were pretty obscured, but it might be pretty nice without the leaves.

Looks like you had a good trip with good weather. I've hiked a lot in that area and haven't made it up Little Schloss yet, so thank you for sharing!
