I haven't been since last fall, and we hiked outside of the actual "wilderness".
The North Fork trail is always a bit of work once you get down to the blowouts. The only other trail in there that sort of sucked was Laurelly branch. It had a lot of blow downs, but that was a few years ago.

I think we hiked most of that (except Cow pasture) last fall. I don't remember any really bad spots. Did cow pasture a few years back, it's was pretty tame.

Only thing about cowpasture is parts of it are exposed to the sun, and are head high in weeds, but the trail is normally beat out. Oh, and the lack of cows

Sounds like the condition of High Meadows trail at Spruce Knob/Seneca Creek last weekend. Luckily for us, some trail maintenance people did a bit of work just before we got there.
