On Saturday April 4th. I headed over to the Delaware Water Gap Recreational Area in New Jersey for an eight mile hike to the summit of Mount Mohican. Was a beautiful blue sky day. Although it was a bit windy.
Parked in the large Coppermines Trailhead parking area along Old Mine Road. There is a large trail map located in the parking area showing the trail system in the area.

Did a loop with a loop hike. Using the following trail: Coppermines Trail; Lower Spur, Kaiser trail; Appalachian Trail; and Coppermines Trail , with a short out and back (2 miles) along the Appalachian Trail from its junction with the Kaiser Trail to the open summit of Mount Mohican.
Here are a few pictures from the days hike.

Also did a quick side trip to Tillman Ravine. The parking area’s gate was still closed and locked. And the trail along the creek and falls was still very icy in places. Probably why they still have the area closed. Only went as far as the first small waterfall.
