Hi. I am new to this forum. I'm looking to get out for a 3-4 day backpacking trip at the end of April. I am open to all suggestions. I appreciate all your input. Thank you very much.

No I am not. I have done many weekend trips. Typically do anywhere from 7-12 miles a day. But that all depends on who is with me.

Check out the Black Forest Trail, Old Loggers Path, Allegheny Front Trail, West Rim Trail, section of the Loyalsock Trail, all in PA.

Mike has a lot of great backpacks on the website to choose from. What are you looking for? Solitude? Overlooks?

If it's not a weekend, the Dolly Sods can provide solitude. And I've gone to the Cranberry for a weekend and not seen another person.

So many choices: yes to Old Logger's Path. Wild Oak Trail in VA, Great North Mountain in WV, Seneca Creek/Spruce Knob could be made into three days...the list goes on.
