The balds are reminiscent of Dolly Sods.

Those were my first thoughts. And some of the large rock areas remind me of Coopers Rock.

It has a Dolly Sods feel, although not as large, and harder to reach. The diversity up there is impressive, from southern hardwoods to spruce forests and teaberry meadows. Lots of teaberry.

The balds are reminiscent of Dolly Sods. Roaring plains as well, the bogs, and the rocks, you could have fooled me on the origin of those pics!

What kind of snow depths did you encounter. Looks like there was not to much snow in the White Brook drainage. Plan on heading back up sometime soon.

No snow in the valley. But 1 - 2 feet at the top. The snow was crusty and frozen so it was easy to hike. Little snow on the balds, either melted or blown away.
