Went for a hike (Purple Loop) this past Sunday at the Bear Creek Preserve. While on the way to the parking area along White Haven Road I stopped off at Buttermilk Falls which is located south of Bear Creek Village Pennsylvania. A few pictures of the falls which was still flowing nicely. I heard that this falls typically dries up to a trickle in the Summer time.

Another Buttermilk Falls... On Monday I drove from Tioga to Beaver Falls to Hershey (that's 530 miles), and on the return leg stopped at the Buttermilk Falls in Indiana County. I had actually passed the driveway for the Buttermilk Falls of Beaver County on the way there. Yesterday on Facebook I saw a posting for the Buttermilk Falls on a resort property in Monroe County.

I know of at least one other Buttermilk Falls in the Poconos near Route 209 and Mount Nebo Road north of Stroudsburg, Pa. I wonder how many falls named "Buttermilk" there are in Pennsylvania
