Drove by on the way back from Arfcomhkr's cabin yesterday, and seen the small plume of smoke going up the left hand side of the rocks. Says fireworks may be the cause, and the spot that is burning is on the side of a cliff almost so I know no one could get up there to light it, not to mention it hasn't rained over there in a over a week. Doesn't help matters that there is a huge fireworks tent set up at the intersection on the main road there either I guess

Aparently set off by some fireworks which are illegal on National Forest property. It's about 50 acres and low burning. They've set up a perimeter fire break.

The Visitor Center and Trails were re-opened this morning.
