I was in western PA the other week and on the way home, I stopped by two parks- Roaring Run and Buttermilk Falls. Roaring Run featured a gorge with rapids and large boulders, as well as some huge beech and tulip poplar trees. There are many mountain bike and hiking trails on the property, including a falls. Buttermilk Falls is known for once being owned by Mister Rogers grandfather, who had a cottage there. Mister Rogers would visit the cottage and falls, and the experience would help inspire his famous childrens program. The falls is about 46 feet tall, you can walk behind the falls, and features a small gorge.
