Fall hike with my son (Dolly Sods, West Virginia - 10/23/16)

Even though I knew that fall foliage was most likely on its way out, in West Virginia's Dolly Sods region, I thought I might be able to tuck in a final color-fest trip. I had promised my youngest son a hike to see the view from the No Name Vista, so that was what we did.
We started hiking from up the Rohrbaugh Trail around 8am. A light glaze of fresh snow covered the vegetation, although the trail was clear (it had all melted by our return). It was cold in the extremely windy conditions, which meant that the No Name Vista (~2.5mi in) was a particularly unfriendly spot. The views, which we gulped down hurriedly, were as nice as ever though.
