Every Fall I try to get to the balds to see the superb foliage. For whatever reason, the colors really seem to pop here, from the blueberry bushes to the maples. This is a special place with extensive bedrock balds, lowbush blueberry, some views, spruce forests, and cliffs, chasms, and caves. The habitats are diverse and impressive, with bear trails where the footprints are imprinted in the moss. It has an isolated feel due to its topography and the effort it takes to get there.
