We recently explored Indian Caverns and Tytoona Cave. Tytoona was particularly memorable because it is an accessible, wild cave that the public can explore. A creek flowed in the darkness. I have never explored a cave on my own before. Indian Caverns had many unique formations and will be closing to tours this year. We then went to Fort Roberdeau, a Revolutionary War era fort built to protect local lead mines and smelters. The guides were in period dress and very informative. Learning how people lived back then is always eye-opening. Life was very hard. A great place to visit for those who like history.
