It is a great hike. Most road crossings have small streams near by for water. In fact you can stash stuff in the streams like beer if you come in from Blackwell. At the top you will find a picnic area with a restroom. If you go a bit farther down that road maybe 100 ft. To the left is a great place to camp for the night and a great overlook of the canyon. To the right at this time of year is a great big line of berry bushes. Just keep an eye out for bears.

Will probably be past peak foliage there that late. Leaves down mean more views though.

We did the WRT this time last year. Still a lot of green on the trees.
Put in at the Gundigut Trail, mile 21.5, and hiked north. Only water on 1st day was the piped spring at mile 17.5, a 1.5 mile carry to camp. First night we stayed just north of the Bradley Wales Picnic area, at one of the over looks with the steel pipe guardrails. What a view! And a perfect place to watch the really cool "fog breakup" in the morning. Happens about 1.5 hours after sunrise, when the entire canyon clears out much faster than you'd expect. Some nice views the 2nd day, fair amount of woods and forest road walking, plenty of water, stayed at the mile #6 campsite. 3rd day was "over the top". View after view. And take the side trail / bushwack toward the canyon at mile 3.5 or so.
Other hikers indicated that the south part of the trail was pretty dry, can't depend upon the water icons on the map. But once north of Bradley Wales water shouldn't be an issue. We used the Pine Creek Outfitters for shuttle service.
And if you have time, stop in Wellsboro for lunch. Cute little town.
Now I want to go back!

The reports do seem to indicate a prolonged season this year.
