Yeah, still a little early over this way too. I was up on Reddish Knob yesterday. Most of the oaks are still green. Oaks being what they are, they may just turn brown.

Humm, completely different situation in some parts of WV. I was hiking along the headwaters of Shaver's Fork near Snowshoe and old Spruce yesterday and they were at 75% leaf drop. The remaining leaves were largely yellow with maple and birch standing out. I've noticed color all over WV substandard this year. I believe the late dry spell really put the kibosh on the colors this year and these late rains aren't helping and instead are just knocking the leaves off. It's still nice out and there is a little good color in spots but not like some years.

Nice pictures! We were out that way for a wedding and I agree, it looks like another week until the leaves are at peak color there.
