Michaux State Forest: 11 miles on the Appalachian Trail

My husband and I went out with two friend on Sunday and hiked an 11 mile section of the Appalachian Trail in Michaux State Forest. We hiked north to south from Shippensburg Road to Caledonia State Park. It was a very nice walk through the woods. There aren't any vistas on this section, but there are some pretty streams and impressive mountain laurel and rhododendrons. There was a little bit of snow on the ground, but nothing that made hiking difficult and the weather was excellent for January.
