This takes me back. I ran into some backpackers last fall at that same pond who warned me about how steep the hill was heading down to the end at Slate Run. Lol.
Great ideas on these superloops! I wish there were more options for things like this in the state, and specifically in my area.

Nice loop! The PAWT got me to try that new trail below Francis Rd and it was great.
Big Dam Trail and Daugherty Trail, both west of Francis Rd, are worth a shot too and could turn this into a full backpacking loop. They follow mellow old grades along excellent streams and are in rough shape (rocky, major nettles) but easy to follow.

Hikers seem to like the challenge and scenery of the superloops, I have a few more in mind. I think they can be destinations, and maybe a patch or something for people who hike them all. I'd like to find one in the ANF area.
