A buddy and I hiked yesterday in the Roaring Plains area. We hiked the South Prong Trail from FR19 and caught the Hidden passage on through to the pipeline and back. While the seeing wasn't great, fall colors are still very nice. There has been decent leaf drop at the highest elevations but the oaks are brilliant in their yellow-orange coloration. Lower down on 19 the reds and oranges are popping and there are still quite a few greens out there. I wouldn't count on it lasting long at elevation though with today tending towards very windy and decent rain forecast. Get out and enjoy it.

With my hiking friend - indeed it was. Thanks for asking. Of course I've got tons more solo hikes and over 20 years backpacking with another friend. Good thing I keep meticulous records.

I keep mine in multiple places - both electronic and paper.
