After two years of working on the place I bought in Upper Tract, I think I have enough free time to finally get out. Hopefully I can combine it with some backpacking. Looking forward to going back and trying my luck in the Upper Shavers between Beaver Creek and Spruce, among others.

You know where I am if you want another person to bullshit with, just yell. I don't know shit about fishing, other than I'll help eat the trout

I'll probably start fishing towards the end of the month. Do they still stock Upper Shavers by train?

Should be a record year for trout, only one week pretty much where they couldn't get back in the hills to stock, most of the time, the deeper areas are snowed in for months. Hell it keeps up this warm spell ramps are gonna be early...

The interactive stocking map doesn't show Shavers being stocked above Beaver Creek. But who knows since they redid the river up there. They might not want the competition for the Brookies.

Finally got out this week. Catching Brookies on wets in the South Branch.
