Looking at getting a new pack. These 2 models from Osprey have caught my interest: Osprey Aether 70 (Green color pack photo) & Osprey Atmos 65 (Red color pack photo). Anybody with experiences with any or both of them? Differences, Pluses, Minuses, Comments & Suggestions? Attachments:

I had the Aether for a couple of years. Good pack but I found something a lot lighter (but not ultralight) with a comfortable enough harness and belt system if you don't over load it. Wooly bully has it now. Ask him. My current pack is a Dueter Act lite 65 + 10. It's a 65 with a 10 L collapsible collar that converts it to a 75 liter pack.

I have an aether and love it. Just used it this weekend and because my son hurt his knee, I carried my load and a lot of his in my Aether. It was up to the task even if I wasn't.

I have the Aether and really like it, its built tough but is a bit on the heavy side. I still use it on colder "off season" hikes where I need to carry more gear but have a lighter pack for summer backpacking. The back has a J shaped zipper which allows you to unzip the main compartment from top to bottom to access things out of you pack without rummaging thru everything to get to something on the bottom, also the top compartment detaches and has its own hipbelt and can be used as a fanny pack for short day hikes away from a base camp.

I've been a four year long user of the 50L Atmos, and I'm sold. I love the ergonomic frame. And it responds well to overpacking, admittedly.
