I still try to get out a bit and at least day hike once in a while during the winter here. Sometimes snowshoe. We usually try to have a couple of winter camping trips just for the heck of it. Those can be either a lot of fun or pretty miserable. You never know.
Other hobbies?
I do all grain beer brewing and winter is a good time to brew, experiment and build up my stocks for the next summer. I got way behind working on my place in W.Va. this year, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I make a little wine for the women folk even though I don't drink it other than to sample and see how it turns out.

Winter typically finds me heading north to the Catskills, and hopefully the ADK's once again this winter for day hikes. Hopefully with snow shoes. I never really slow down my pace of hikes in the winter. As it is one of my favorite season for hiking.
Plus I have season tickets for our local ECHL hockey team and alos end up at a few different AHL hockey games (road trips) throughout their season

Out and about as much as possible. Year before last I was out once a week every week from January through April. Would like to try snowshoes this year. I break out the cross-country skiis once in a while. There's hunting and maybe a little fishing, some bushcraft skills. Plus I get to use all the cool winter gear I have. No crowds or bugs either.

I'm a three-season backpacker. I'm most likely found sleeping in PATC cabins during the winter. I've got a weekend trip to Conley slated in a month.

My spring/summer/fall weekends are busy with nature programs at local parks, so winter week-ends are generally my only free time. Now is when I can get some hiking in; I love camping in winter (though local campgrounds are closed); and I try to do some orienteering.

This winter I'm going to continue hiking. Last winter I stopped, but didn't restart again until late June. I have been buying cool/cold weather gear at REI this fall. I don't want to stop again. Mostly day hikes in the mid Marylad area

I seem to have more time to hike in the fall/winter than other times of the year. Mostly day hikes in the winter, or snowshoeing if necessary.

Put on warmer clothes and keep hiking (or cycling). We snowshoe when we get the chance. We don't camp as much. If we are lucky, we'll get one or two overnights in during the winter. If we are really lucky, one of those will be on snowshoes.

Repair any gear that needs it. Make some gear, such as stoves, hammocks, top cover for my hammock, bug nets. Start planning what hikes I want to do the next year and get any maps, permits, etc.
