Marble Hill Preserve –Phillipsburg, NJ Sunday September 29, 2019 This past Sunday I headed over to the State of New Jersey for a short hike (2.5 miles) at the Marble Hill Preserve. Which is located just north of Phillisburg, NJ and adjacent to the Delaware River I happened upon this preserve while surfing the internet one day. The preserve is not all that large at 288 acres. There are approximately 3.9 miles of marked trails. Although what made me decide to do the short hike here was the fact that an old Lead Mine (Fulmer Mine) was located on the preserve, and I figured it would be worth a look. Wouldn’t be all that great of a destination just for hiking the preserve, but it’s a nice little place to check out if one is in the area. Note: the trails other than the Highlands Trail and the orange blazed Fulmer Mine trail seemed to be overgrown.
