The most rugged gorge in PA, at one point the creek drops 800 feet over a quarter mile. There are over ten waterfalls, cliffs, ledges, and countless springs pouring from the earth. Three falls were close together, and exceeded 100 feet in height. We also passed a high elevation wet meadow with wildflowers and an osprey hunting for a meal. It was a long hike into the gorge, but scenic with spruce forests and cascading streams. A place of incredible beauty.
