It's good to be here! Finally moved over after the backpacker switch.
I'm looking for intel regarding the trail conditions of northern otter creek trail near big springs, and also green mountain trail. I've heard reports of overgrowth and blowdowns from this past summer - some hikers saying it was impassable. I'm headed there this weekend, and if so, I can change my route to avoid those areas.

asseege,
I hiked on Otter Creek trail in June of this year from Dry Fork up to the Big Springs Gap Trail and back. The trail was in fine shape except right near the entrance on Dry Fork. The old lower route was covered by downed trees so we had to take the upper route which was muddy and a bit washed out in places but this routing is for only 100 yards at the most. Rest of the way was fine except for a little brush at one point.

We were at OCW in the summer. Came in Mylius to Otter Creek then Green Mountain to Possession Camp. Mylius was clear, Otter Creek was clear until Moore Run. Between Moore Run and Green Mountain there were serious blowdowns. Passable but serious PIAs. Green Mountain was fine. Possession Camp had a few messy spots to contend with.
