Hey folks! New to the area, moved here from Texas about two months ago, my wife and I are here until february and we were wanting to do some backpacking while we were up here. Time being limited with work and all, we're looking for a 3-4 loop to do in the Shenandoah national park in late October. We are very experienced backpackers and we are in decent physical shape. Thanks in advance!

If you need more mileage you can do a figure 8 and add some trails to the south of this loop. I'm thinking of the Austin Mt/Furnace Mt Loop and the Doyles River Loop. As a matter of fact, you can resupply at your car. You wouldn't have to lug all of your food and cloths with you for the entire trip.

May not be in Shenandoah, but Trout Run Circumnavigation is a great 3 day hike.
