After the hike at John Boyd Thacher State Park, we drove to Vroman's Nose near the scenic village of Middleburgh, NY. This is a historical and geologic landmark, a cliff with fine views of the Schoharie Valley. There were carvings dating back to the mid 1800s. The Long Path also goes by Vroman's Nose. We hoped to check out the falls at Mine Kill State Park, but it was closed by the time we reached it.
